King Neptune Gala – Kalmar Nyckel Shipyard, Wilmington DE

I’m so pleased to be performing with special guests Kym Harkcuff and Geoff Geis for the cocktail hour at the King Neptune Gala for the Kalmar Nyckel Foundation in Wilmington, DE.

The evening will begin with a cocktail reception at 5:00 pm, followed by an elegant dinner and live auction to benefit the Kalmar Nyckel Foundation featuring US Senator Chris Coons as our guest auctioneer.  Honored guest, Swedish Ambassador, Björn Lyrvall, will be here to present a special award.  We will also recognize a Delaware educator, who has made a unique contribution to our mission, with the annual “Copeland Education Award.”

The Kalmar Nyckel Foundation has a strong commitment to education, and the Kalmar Nyckel serves as a floating classroom, an outreach platform for the State of Delaware, and a catalyst for social and economic development. With the opening of the new Copeland Maritime Center, the Foundation can now expand its education programs, better support and maintain the ship and offer a year-round visitor destination.
